NODT : Dreamy Whimsical

Innisfree #121

I have never been a nail polishes hoarder or anything like that. However, since reading lots of beauty blog, I'm intrigued to try them out more often. Especially after reading and admiring those pretty nail polish post from Sleep and Water  blog. I feel so tempted to do my nails and experiment with all those glitter.

Anyway, today's NODT is dedicated to Innisfree nail polish glitter range #121. I have no single clue to what the exact name and description of this nail polish as it was all written in Korean. Innisfree #121 has a milky white base with variety of pastel colour glitter particles. Wearing this nail polish reminds me a lot about Easter. Don't you think so? I am pretty impress with the quality of the nail polish. I did mine three coats. Without top coat, mine last for 3 days without chipping. The glitter was easily distributed as well. I bought mine off eBay for around AUD$5 (from this seller ).

So, what are you wearing on your nails right now??

Benefit Posietint vs Etude House Fresh Cherry Lip tint // Dupes

L-R : Etude House Fresh Cherry #PK002 - Benefit Posietint Swatches // Stain

So let's talk about lip tints! I always adore lip tint as it's a great 2 in 1 product for the cheek and lip. They're great staple product on the go. Even for people who doesn't wear makeup, I would highly suggest to invest on one of these lip tint as they look natural on. Moreover, they feel super comfortable on the lips. Great for a "no-makeup" makeup look.

Benefit Posietint
One of my favourite lip tint has got to be the Benefit Posietint (US$30). Benefit Posietint is describe as a hot pink lip stain. Colour wise, it's quite pigmented on the lips.  However, not so pigmented when I use it as a cheek stain. The texture is milky. The stain will last for about 2-4hours. I find that it's a bit drying on the lips. Benefit Posietint has a brush applicator which I'm not a fan of, I personally prefer a dover applicator.

Etude House Fresh Cherry
I've just recently acquired Etude House Fresh Cherry in PK002 (US$10) . It's a bright pink colour. The colour is as pigmented as the Posietint. The Etude tint has a yummy fruity scent which I adore. I find that on the cheek, the stain is much more pigmented unlike the Benefit Posietint. Longevity wise, the tint will last for about 2-4hours as well. The good thing is, it's not as drying as the Benefit one. I also like the dover applicator on this. Moreover, it's way more affordable than the Benefit one.

Have you try any of these? What's your fav lip/cheek stain??

Coveting Now #3

coveting now 3
Nars Radiant Creamy concealer// Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette// Chanel Les Beige powder// Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation// Hourglass Veil Mineral primer// YSL Youth Liberator Serum foundation

First of all, can you see the pattern? This month, I have been coveting over high-end face products. Mainly foundation, primer, powder and concealer. I believe that to achieve the best makeup, a good base is a necessity. Well, I'm always a sucker for base product. I just keep on buying them.

Nars Radiant Creamy concealer : Everyone seems to lurve this concealer. So , I wanted to give it a try. Moreover, I don't really own a high-end concealer. Should I invest in this or the MUFE HD concealer??

Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette : I think this is gonna be a cool palette to have. As far as I know, I've never seen or heard about any powder palette. There are lip palette or eyeshadow palette or blush palette out there, but powder palette...

Chanel Les Beige powder : Similar concept with the Hourglass ambient light powder. Giving a luminous and radiant look without looking cakey. Just right up my alley.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation : I don't really need another foundation, but I just want this.

Hourglass Veil Mineral primer : After trying out several primers, I've learn my lesson that face primer isn't really that important. Well, at least for me. I just never find that it's doing anything at all. However, I heard that, this primer is "the best primer". So maybe, I should give it another chance. Just maybe, it'll change my perspective about primers.

YSL Youth Liberator Serum foundation :  The same reason as the above.

Have you try any of these item ? Do you think they're worthed??

Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant +

Trilogy Rosehip oil antioxidant +  ($29.99AUD)

I have just recently incorporated face oil to my skincare routine. As you can see from my previous night time routine, I didn't use any face oil. I never believe that putting more oil to my combination-oily skin will do any good to my skin. However, I heard so much rave and hype about face oil especially the Josie Maran Argan oil. Since Josie Maran Argan oil is not easily accessible here, I bought Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant + instead.

I have been trying out this Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant + for more than a months now. Since using this oil every night, I have seen a major improvement in my complexion. I use it for about 2/3 drops, I either mix it with a moisturiser or apply it before moisturiser. This oil has basically helps to reduce my post-acne scarring and to even out my complexion (less redness).  Beside, it's very nourishing on the skin and deeply moisturising without looking oily or greasy on the face. It has basically boost up my lack-luster skin. Rosehip oil is also good for preventing any wrinkles.

The best thing about this Rosehip oil is definitely making me feel less self-conscious and brave enough to go outside bare-face. I look much much more presentable and comfortable bare-face. This has quickly become my HG skincare item. If I only have to choose one skincare item, it would be this Trilogy Rosehip Oil. I highly recommend this stuff, it's that AMAZING!

Have you try any face oil? Which face oil is your favourite??

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Deauville

Nars Sheer Glow foundation is my very first high-end foundation. I have been looking for a foundation that does not contain any SPF so that I can use it for special occasions without worrying about my face turning into a "moon-face" or a white cast on flash photography. Before buying this, I google "top recommended foundations without spf" and in the end I settle my first foundation with Nars. This foundation is a cult favourite among the beauty communities. Moreover, if you haven't notice, I'm a Nars lover.

Nars sheer glow is a medium coverage foundation but it's buildable depending on how you apply it. I personally prefer using a beauty-blender than a foundation brush for this particular foundation. I find that, when I use a foundation brush like the Real Technique buffing brush it looks a bit cakey and doesn't look as natural as when I apply it using a beauty-blender.  Longevity wise, I reckon it stays on around 6hours max and it'll start to wear off . Despite the name being "sheer" and "glow", it's nothing like that. Although, it feels lightweight on the skin, I won't count Nars Sheer Glow to be a "sheer" foundation. I find that the word "glow" is kinda misleading as when you apply it on, it's more of a matte finish with a bit of sheen. Colour wise, I'm pretty content with the range selection. I would really recommend Nars foundation range especially to all pale girls out there like me. At first, I got the colour Montblanc but I find it a bit too pink for my taste as I want to cancel out the redness on my skin. So, I decided to swap it with Deauville which is describe to have a neutral undertone. I have not really figure out my undertone, do I have a yellow or pink tone? cool or warm or maybe even neutral? I'm not really sure about it.

I really like and enjoy wearing this foundation. For the price, it's on the pricey side for $68AUD. However, it's totally worthed as it gives me a flawless complexion. I can probably get away without wearing concealer. Btw, I have a combination skin where I have an oily T-zone. I think this Nars foundation lives up to the hype.

Budget Find : Daiso Brushes and Makeup Sponge Detergent Cleaner

Last week or so, I went to Daiso. I love visiting store like Daiso as I can find some gems from there and it's really fun. If you are not familiar, Daiso is a Japanesse store that sells all item at $2.80. They sell all sorts of things.

While wandering around the aisle, I noticed this so-called Detergent for puff and sponge. I thought I should just try it out for a mere $2.80, I got nothing to lose.  To be honest, I dislike cleaning my brushes, it's such a chores. Who else is with me ?? I hope I'm not alone.

This detergent works miraculously. I tried it on both of my old and new beauty blender, and it cleanse it like a dream. Although, the older one still has a stain on it due to my lack of care in cleaning it regularly.  I think this detergent is a good alternative to MAC brush cleanser. Moreover, I tried using this to clean my brushes and it works as well.

So, I am delightful to say that now, I do not need to spend so much money just to clean my brushes and sponge. So glad that I found this detergent. I'll keep on buying them.

Have you try this ? What do you think about it ??

The repurchase products

Today post is dedicated to my most-loved trustee product. As the title suggest, it's a repurchased products. I have probably at least repurchased the item once which shows how much I adore the product as I don't tend to repeat on buying the same item again and again. I get bored easily. So, it's a pretty rare sight of me being loyal to one particular products.

Soap & Glory Clean on Me shower gel : This stuff smell amazing! If I need to choose one shower gel to use in my whole entire life, I'll stick to this as long as they keep on producing it. This shower gel, reminds me a lot of my favourite scents, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment : A multipurpose product  but I mainly use it for moisturising my lips and sometime my cuticles. I think almost every Australian have this. This has become one of my staple product. One tube last me for quite a while.

Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray : I don't know how I can lived without this spray anymore especially during summer where my makeup tends to melt away and wear off. This setting spray really helps my makeup to stay put. My HG , will continue to keep on purchasing this.

Indeed Lab Hydraluron : Out of all these item, the only item that I haven't finished is this hydraluron. But, I have already bought two more tubes as a backup. Great serum, can't go wrong with this stuff.

Maybelline Instant Age rewind Eraser concealer : Favourite under-eye concealer. The sponge applicator is a plus as well. Very hydrating on the skin.

Maybelline Mascara : I have to admit that my all time favourite mascara will be from Maybelline. They just offer a great range of mascara at an affordable price. My Top 3 mascara from Maybelline will be the Falsies, Colossal Cat Eye and Mega plush.

St-Ives invigorating apricot scrub : This is probably my 1000th tube. Before I become a skincare addict, my skin surface was terrible and I have a pretty bad blackheads around my nose. This has a become the Hero of saving my bumpy skin and nothing can beat this awesome scrub.

Do you like any of these stuff? What have you repurchased??

Coveting now #2

coveting now 2

1. Jouer Luminizing Moisture tint : I love their matte moisture tint version so much that I would love to try the luminizing version as well.

2. Escentric Molecule Molecule 01 : I'm on the hunt looking for a new perfume as I'm running low. I heard about this perfume and become curious. The unique things about this perfume is that the  scent will adapt with our body, so basically everyone will end up with different smell.

3. Origins Ginzing moisturiser : I adore Origins product. I have tried and used some of their skincare products and I have nothing to complain about. This is one of their new release moisturiser, I'm tempted to try it out as it smells amazing  and feels very lightweight (I try them on at Kit Cosmetic). Very summer appropriate.

4. Jo Malone perfume : I have been lusting over this perfume for the longest time, I have even put it on my first Coveting Now post back in August. Really want to try one of their scents, but the price kinda putting me off.

5. Jouer Highlighter : Interested in finding a highlighter that is not overwhelming and looks natural on. After researching a bit about it, Jouer highlighter just tick all the boxes.

6. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick : Creamy , moisturising and great pigmentation. Absolutely adore this lipstick line. Wanting to try Naked for a nude lipstick , Anarchy for a hot pink and Obsessed for a pretty pink.

7. Urban Decay Naked Basics palette : I don't actually need another neutral palette but I want it.

8. Jouer Mineral Powder Blush : Can you tell that I'm a bit obsessed with everything related to Jouer?? Apart from lusting over their base product and highlighter, I really want to try their blushes as well. Especially Peony, the colour is so pretty.

9. China Glaze nail polish : They got a pretty awesome selection of colours that I wanted to try.

10. Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer : Kate from Ghostparties rave about this primer a lot that I have to give it a try ASAP!

FODT : minimalist makeup routine

Dior Lip Glow, Daniel Sandler watercolour blush in So Pretty, Maybelline the Collossal Cat eye, Nars Laguna, Nars Satin Lip pencil in Yu, Jouer Matte Moisture tint in Porcelain, Shu Uemura eye curler

Fact story, I'm not a morning person. I always wake up late in the morning. Snoozing my alarm has become my habit. So, when that kind of day come, I'll only have limited amount of time to get ready and do my routine. Therefore, when it comes to makeup product, I'll stick to the things that I know will work for me. Plus, I'll keep everything as simple as possible by using less product and undo-ing unnecessary steps.

For the base product, I have been abusing my Jouer Matte moisture tint. I have rave about this in so many post including my August Favourites. It's just so easy to blend and looks very natural on the skin. I can get away without setting it with a powder as it gives a semi-matte finish. When in a rush, I'll usually skip the concealer part, if I do have an extra time, I'll use my Maybelline instant age-rewind concealer for my under eye.

Then, I'll use the cult favourite bronzer, Nars Laguna. Instead of setting my base with a powder, I find that using a bronzer helps to set my base well enough. For blush, I'll stick with any pink blush, and at the moment I'm enjoying Daniel Sandler Watercolour blush in So Pretty. For the eye, as I am keeping everything as simple as possible, I'll only use a mascara, my all time favourite is the Maybelline Collossal cat eye. I'll finish it off with a statement lip colour, Dior Lip glow as a balm and  top it off with Nars Satin lip pencil in Yu. I find that wearing a pop of colour on the lips gives an effortless casual look without putting much effort.

Overall, I'm done. This will probably take me around 10-15minutes. If I have an extra time, I'll spritz some MAC Fix+ to give my skin a dewy look.

So, what's your makeup staple in a rush ??  Would love to know your recommendation.

The BB/CC Cushion Foundation Rave - IOPE Air Cushion XP

IOPE Air Cushion XP - C21

From BB creams to CC creams and now the highly coveted product in the Korean market is the BB/CC Cushion Foundation rave. This BB/CC Cushion trend has been going on for awhile. It's like the new trend after BB creams and CC creams.

Basically, this is a new concept of  a "fuss-free" makeup application. Applying your base product from the cushion without the need of using any brush or pumping out your foundation. I was triggered by the hype due to its claim of lightweight texture, natural looking skin, non-cakey when reapply and high SPF. So, I thought why not, summer is coming and I never incorporate any suncream to my skincare routine. After researching a bit about the BB/CC cushion foundation, I decided to get the IOPE Air Cushion XP in C21 (buy here). Although, at first I struggled deciding between the IOPE and Hera version, but decided to stick with the IOPE as it's less dewy and more compatible with my combination skin. Moreover, IOPE is the mother of the cushion trend, as it's the first that launched and make it to the trend.

The concept of this cushion foundation is to provide hydration to the skin and also a cooling effect. Coverage wise I would say it's light to medium and very buildable. I tried wearing it on top of another foundation (Jouer Matte moisture tint) and it makes it look even more natural and dewy. I really like the finished of it, I would say a semi-dewy. I prefer wearing this by itself as I find the coverage to be decent enough for an everyday wear. I apply it using the sponge that is given, as the sponge will not eat up the foundation.  For the colour range, they provide three options which are natural #21 & #23, cover #21 & #23 and shimmer #23. Basically, natural for a lighter coverage , cover for more coverage and shimmer for brightening effect. Longevity wise, it stays on the skin pretty good through out the day around 6 hours and I do find my face looks a bit shinny at the end of the day. I bought this for around $36AUD, which I think is pretty decent as IOPE is a department store brand and inside the box there is an extra refill for the cushion. I really appreciate the fact that the compact is refillable. I find it very convenient, as I can just buy another brand refill cushion and put it inside the IOPE compact. It also have a build-in UV protection of SPF 50++.

I thought I should show you how incredibly good this thing is in evening out my complexion. So below I have provide a close up "before" and "after" photos. Beware of my bare skin look, pardon me if I scare you.

So have you try on any Cushion foundation ? If not, will you try them in the future??

August Favourites

It's finally the end of August which mean I have officially been blogging for a month now. Woohoo!! To end this month post, I decided to wrap it up with the typical monthly favourites post. This month favourites are all about the old and new goodies discoveries.

Jouer Matte Moisture tint in Porcelain
For the past couple of months, I have been digging Jouer Matte moisture tint (review here). Wearing it religiously almost everyday when I'm wearing makeup. I would say that this would be my HG base product. I just could not believe how incredibly smooth and blendable it's on the skin. It looks so natural, great for a no-makeup makeup look.

Rimmel Stay Matte powder
Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent, this powder works wonder. I believe almost everyone including their mom have this powder. It's cheap and reliable.

MAC Fix+
I bought this ages ago thinking it would be a great multipurpose product. But I could not seem to like it as much as I thought. I was trying to finish it up and ended up loving. I mainly use it as a finishing spray to make my face look less cakey and powdery. I would probably gravitate toward this on the colder season.

Maybelline Instant Age-rewind concealer
I would say, this concealer lives up the hype. The unique ball-like applicator makes applying the concealer more fun.

Maybelline the Collossal in Cat eye
I have a super stubborn straight lashes and when I apply mascara, it wouldn't hold up the curl at all which really pissed me off. I tried trying different types of mascara, from the high to low. But it seems like this is the only mascara that holds up the curl. Although, I did try the Falsies and it's pretty awesome but it kind of irritates my eyes sometimes.

NARS Satin lip pencil in Yu
By now, you would probably know my love affairs towards Nars product. I just love every single product that I have purchase from them. And this time, it's their new release Satin lip pencil in Yu. The texture is very creamy and moisturising on the lips. The colour payoff is very intense and vibrant. Been using it to rock the gradient lip looks(tutorial here).

TonyMoly Crystal Blusher in Milky Violet
This blusher has been laying around in the corner of my vanity for the longest time. I did not seem to give as much attention as I should. Decided to give it some love this month and fell in-love all over again. The colour is very unique, I would say a pastel purple or a lilac. It gives a subtle glow from within when I wear this. Very flattering on pale or fair skin.

Origins Make a Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating Treatment
I wear this as a moisturiser during the day. It has a very lightweight gel consistency texture which does not feel greasy or oily when applying it on the skin. I find that it gives just the right amount of moisture to the skin.

IndeedLab Hydraluron
Great serum for great skin. Instantly loving it. Have been using it religiously since I bought it. I have even bought a backup as Priceline is having a 30% off sale at the moment. I did a mini review in my night time routine post.

So, what's your favourite product during this month? Please share in the comments down below. Would love to hear about yours.

My Beauty Emergency Kit

So for me, carrying my makeup bag everywhere I go is a necessity. You just never know when you will need them. So it's better safe than sorry. Personally, I think a hand cream is every girl bestfriend. My current favourite is Hand food from Soap and Glory, it smells so good and very hydrating. I also like to bring along a pressed powder just in case I want to touch up during the day, the one I'm currently using is the MAC select sheer pressed powder. Plus, I can use the mirror for the compact powder. In addition, I think a good concealer like the YSL touche eclat can be good multi tasking product where I can do touch up with it and also highlighting my face if needed. I also like to throw in a mini size perfume in my makeup bag, the one I'm loving is Prada Candy, it smells so sweet. And of course, I need to bring my Dior lip glow to moisturise my lips and a two-in-one product for both lips and cheeks from Benefit Posietint to add in some life to my complexion. Lastly, to prevent myself looking like a grease ball, I'll always always bring my Clean & Clear oil control film.

Do you always carry a makeup bag with you?And what's your essential beauty products on-the-go??

New in Bourjois

Bourjois bronzing primer - cream blush #3 Rose Tender - colorboost lip crayon in Peach on the Beach

Bourjois Bronzing Primer
This has a similar concept with the ever so popular Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel a.k.a the bronze universal. However, I have never thought of splurging in a bronzer. I may splurge on foundation or blush but just not bronzer. Bought it when I saw it was on sale at ASOS together with the cream blush. Anyway, this is suppose to be a primer but instead I use it for contouring my face. I find that this will also be a great multipurpose product, it can act as a corrector if your foundation is not in the right shade by mixing with your foundation. I like the fact that it is in a gel cream mousse consistency which I find very easy to blend. On the tube it looks very intense and orangey. But when you apply it on your face, it turn into a very natural matte brown look. It smells great as well, just like chocolate. I highly recommend this even if you have pale skin.

Bourjois Cream Blush
I have started to move to a cream blush girl since having and loving my Stila Convertible blush. Moreover, the cream-powder formula concept intrigued me to buy them. I choose #3 Rose tender as it leans toward the pink family. As you all might or might not know that I love my pink blush. It gives a natural glowy look to my face. I'm loving it so far. I apply it using my Real technique stippling brush or even my hands if Im in a hurry. Great on-the-go product. Longevity wise, they last around 5-6hrs. Not bad for a drugstore product.

Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon
So, after, Clinique, Tarte, Revlon and Covergirl. Bourjois decided to make their own little chubby stick. Decided to buy them after swatching them at Priceline. I picked up Peach on the beach, such a cute name.  Compare to the Revlon JBKBS, it's way more moisturising and hydrating on the lips. But, colour wise, it does not leave any kind of stain and does not stays on the lip for along time. To be honest, I still prefer my Revlon JBKBS. But the fact that it has an SPF15 is really a plus for me.

So, have you try any of these new items? Do you like them??

Your skin will Thank You : Night Time routine

I first started out to be a makeup junkie but eventually I became an official skincare junkie as well. Taking care and treating your skin is essential. I have seen a vast improvement in my complexion when I started to become more aware about the importance of skincare. Being able to have good skin is every girls dream. When you have good skin, you'll pile less makeup on your face. Hence, saving up more money on using less foundation or concealer.

Before buying and acquiring your skincare product, it is important to know a little bit about your skin types. Whether you have a dry skin, combination skin, sensitive skin or oily skin. For me, I lean towards the combination skin, where my T-zone area will get oily. Then, after knowing your skin types, you can focus on your problem areas, it maybe blemishes, redness, acne,  hyper pigmentation etc. Basically, from all this knowledge, it helps to narrow down the products that you are going to buy. My personal skin concern is blemishes and a bit of acne during that time of the month. Therefore, I like brightening or whitening product.

So, here is what I have been using for the past few months. I list them in the order of my routine.

Lush Tea Tree Water - I'm not that fuzzy about toners. As long as it does not contain any alcohol in it. This Lush toner is pretty good, no harsh chemical for sure. Although I find the smell a bit funky like garlic. I find that using a toner really freshen up my skin and keeping my face from oily. Another great alternative is Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel toner which smells so good.

IOPE Bio Essence - This has the same concept as the cult favourite SK-II essence for half of the price. IOPE Bio Essence claims to hydrate and restore the skin cells. Though I'm not too sure about restoring the skin cells, but it really helps to hydrate my skin without feeling greasy and tacky.

Kiehl's Avocado Eye cream - Great eye cream, doesn't irritate my eyes. It also sinks to the skin right away. Very moisturising.

Indeed Lab Hydraluron - This serum works like no other. I have just recently acquire it when it first launched in Priceline. But I can tell you that I'm loving it! No wonder everyone seems to keep on raving about this, even Caroline Hirons put this in her Hall of Fame. Although, I have to admit it feels a bit tacky but it absorb and vanish in a second. I can tell that my skin feels more plump and hydrated in the morning. I recommend that everyone should start using this miracle worker.

Laneige White Plus Renew Night Cream - Smells good like all other Laneige product and it really brightens up my complexion. Leaves my skin feeling soft and supple.

Origins Drink Up Intensive - Origins is a brand that I always rely on as they don't use harsh chemical in their product and very reliable. I use this twice a week interchangeably with my Laneige White Plus Renew Night cream. When I feel like my skin needs more hydration, I'll use this instead. A good alternative that I found is  Laneige Water sleeping pack.

Acne.org Treatment - I cannot live without this! It contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. Such a great product in battling and preventing any future acne. Since using this, I noticed that i got less acne on my face. From my personal experience, after using moisturising and hydrating skincare product, it helps to diminish my acne scarring and blemishes.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment - For lip conditioning. Nothing beats this stuff in moisturising my lips. It's also great for the moisturising the cuticle.

So, what's your skincare secret? Do you keep to one routine or do you alternate them frequently??

Priceline Haul : 50% sale off Maybelline

For the past few months, Priceline has been pretty good to us, giving heaps of sales and discounts. Unfortunately, I missed all those chance (le sigh), the 40% sale off all makeup and 40% sale off all skincare

And now, they are currently having a pretty good offering. Half price for all Maybelline and other good deals (see here). I convinced myself not too missed this chance again. So I head down to Priceline before going to work. I have been eyeing on their new collection of  the Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded and Inked Pink , but they ran out of it. So, I just repurchased my HG mascara which are the Falsies and the Colossal Cat-eye. They cost for about $9AUD each, such a steal. While looking around the Maybelline ails, I could not passed up the Maybelline Colour Show nailpolishes. The $2 tag intrigued me.  Since I'm loving their age rewind concealer, I thought why not try their Dream Lumitouch concealer, they remind me of my YSL touche eclat. I also bought the Colour Vivid lipstick in Fushia Flash. My shopping didn't stop there, I picked a nailpolish from Rimmel as they're currently having a 20% off as well.

I wanted to try on a new foundation, should I pick up the Revlon Nearly Naked or Maybelline Fit Me foundation???????

Anyway, what did you guys get from the deals?? Any product recommendation that I should try?

How to: Simple Gradient Lips Look

I have been sporting gradient lips look for quiet awhile now. It's been my go-to effortless lips look. Gradient lips look is so popular among the Asian especially Japanese and Korean. I find them really flattering on. So here is my easy steps to achieve the perfect gradient lips look.

1. Prepare your lips by using a lip scrub and moisturise them.

2. Conceal the outer part of your lips. I like using a beauty blender or any sponge to dab on the concealer. It's recommended to use a moisturising concealer.

3. Choose your favourite lip product, it may be a lipstick or a liptint. Apply to the inner part of your lips.

4. Pout your lips and apply more of the lip product. I find it easier to pout to be able to easily apply to the inner part of the lips.

5. Pressed your upper and lower lips together. This will make sure that the tint will spread naturally and stays on longer.

6. Dab the lip product if needed.

7. Put a clear gloss to make your lips look fuller and plump. And.. Voila! Your gradient lips is done.

Super easy and fun!

Will you be trying this out ? Do you like them?

Jouer matte moisture tint

Jouer matte moisture tint - Porcelain

Finally join the Jouer matte moisture tint bandwagon. I first knew it from Ingrid's video, as she was raving about how great this Jouer matte moisture tint (£29) for oily skin. I have always want to buy everything that Ingrid used, as I'm a sucker like that. Then, when I randomly looking up for the review, I came across Kate's video. I was even more convinced to buy it. When it comes to great product recommendation, I always trust Kate's word as she is just amazing like that.

This Jouer matter moisture tint is totally right up my alley, it's oil-free and it has a light-medium coverage. I'm a big fan of light-medium coverage face product as I dont like the feeling of wearing piles of makeup on my face (even if I did..). I like how it even out my complexion and still being able to let my real skin show through.

Regarding the colour, I opt for the lightest colour which is Porcelain. For your reference, Im an NC20 in MAC.  I was considering to get one colour darker but decided to stick with the Porcelain. When in doubt, opt for the lighter colour. Porcelain blends really well with my skin, it applies seamlessly smooth. Basically, I don't feel like wearing anything on. Although it says "matte", the finish of it is not a matte matte. It's more of a velvety matte and very build-able. I would prefer to wear this during the hotter months. In the colder months, I would mix this with a luminizing primer to give a glowy finish.
This reminds me a lot of my favourite asian BB cream, Holika Holika Aqua petite jelly bb cream.

Overall, I would say that this is an amazing product and worth the raved. Although it is in the pricey side, it just ticks all the needs that Im looking for in a foundation. And now, I want the Luminizing version of this in Pearl.

What are your favourite base product? Do you like the idea of matte finish?

Coveting Now #1

coveting now 1

1. Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer (SX05) : Heard loads of good review about this stuff. It's like a magic in a small tub. It can basically perform as concealer, bronzer, and even foundation depending on the shades you are going for. Although it might seem small (0.63oz), but it is a very hardcore industrial base product. So, you only need a pea size to make this work.

2. Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette : The name says it all. It's a compact neutral eye shadow palette goodness. Every women out there at least need one (or five?!)  good neutral eye shadow palette. I always go for Urban Decay for a good neutral eye shadow palette. Urban Decay just know what they're doing.

3. Topshop Flower Dress : I love wearing dresses as it's very versatile. I can dress it up and down, wear it with sandals during summer or layer it with black leather jacket and tights in the colder months.

4. Barry M Gelly Nail Polish : All the UK beauty guru's have been constantly raving about this lil thing.

5. Jo Malone in Cucumber and Earl Grey : If you love perfume, you'll probably fell in-love with Jo Malone scents like I'm. They provide a variation of unique combination of scents. They feel and look more luxurious and sophisticated than your typical perfume. Worth trying them out!

6. NARS blush in Deep throat : Besides NARS orgasm, Nars deep throat is another cult favourite. As I'm not a fan of shimmer on blush, I would opt for NARS deep throat rather than orgasm.

7. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel Bag : This has been on my wishlist for the longest time. Probably a year now?!  I find them to be a great alternative to the Celine bag which is unfortunately way out of my budget.

What are you coveting at the moment??

NOTD: SinfulColors Endless Blue

 Sinfulcolors - Endless blue AU$4.95

I have always wanted to try Sinful's nail polish. From what I know, it has not been that long since it first launched in Australia. Maybe around the beginning of this year (Please don't quote me!). They provide a great selection of colours and very budget friendly for only AU$4.95 at Priceline or even better AUS$4 at Kmart. I wanted to try it out first before buying a bunch more, so I'm holding myself to just pick one colour. I wasn't particularly looking for a specific colour but Sinful's Endless Blue is just too pretty to pass up.

SinfulColour Endless blue is a royal blue with a cream texture. I was pretty satisfied with the quality and the application of the nail polish. You can probably get away with only one coat, but just in case I did mine two coat. It goes on very smooth and creamy.  For a mere AU$4, I'm not complaining. Considering how ridiculously expensive nail polish here is, for a drugstore nail polish like Revlon cost about AU$16.

Do you like Sinful? Any colour recommendation??

Dedicated to NARS Gaiety

Nars Blush - Gaiety AU$46(US$29)

NARS Gaiety  is my very first high end blush purchased. Gaiety is describe as "candy pink", it leans toward a cool tone pink colour with a blue based undertone and it has a matte finish.  This blush is where my love of NARS begin. I bought it last year when I just starting off to love and enjoy putting on makeup. I heard a lot of raved and hype about NARS blushes. Therefore, I decided to give it a go. The lovely MUA at Mecca Cosmetica tried it on me and I totally fell in love. Although, I have to admit that I felt intimidated by the bright colour on the pan. However, they look so lovely on.  As I am pretty fair with cool skin tone, pink blush suits me best as it brighten up my complexion. I am also a very heavy-handed when it comes to blushes, but with Gaiety I can get away without looking like a clown. NARS blush has a great lasting power,  as far as I remember on me it basically last around 8 hours with a bit of fading at the end of the day. Texture wise, they're very soft and finely-milled. Ever since then Gaiety has become my go-to staple blush. Surprisingly enough, I have not even hit-pan on it, just a lil bit of dent.

Have you tried Gaiety? What do you think of it?

NARS Orgasm Blush Dupes

L-R: NARS Orgasm, NYX Pinched, SLEEK Rosegold

NARS has always been one of my favourite makeup brand. They have never fail to impress me with their "oh-so-ah-mazingg" products. Among their makeup line, NARS blushes in Orgasm has always been raved about on youtube and blogs . It has become the cult favourite among beauty guru's. NARS Orgasm is a peachy pink with gold shimmer. The drawback is NARS blush is retail for AU$45 (US$29) in Mecca store. Therefore, here I am showing you the dupes which is pretty darn similar without the massive price, wallet-friendly :)

SLEEK blush in Rosegold, more powdery and less pink, I dare said more pigmented than NARS orgasm. The shimmery gold is more noticeable than NARS when applied on the cheeks. Lasting power is not as good as NARS. Well, you get what you paid for!

NYX powder blush in Pinched, less shimmery and more peachy. Better lasting power than SLEEK. Out of the 3 blushes, I prefer NYX version as the shimmer is less noticeable when applied on the cheeks. Shimmery blush is just not my cup of tea.
